Meadow Blazingstar in the Wildflower Garden

In summer, several specimens of Meadow Blazingstar bloom in Regina's Native Plant Garden at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum. I haven't yet seen this prairie wildflower in the wild, though...

In my search for information about Blazingstars, I ended up on several sites that sell them for the home wildflower garden. They look a bit shaggy for a manicured home garden, but their pink and purple colours are brilliant and they are also attractive to butterflies. (But no, I don't grow them, so have no idea if this is a good idea or not!)
